‘It was such an eye-opener to see that all ten NGOs participating in the course were all so donor-dependent. The course was really about us becoming more sustainable. In our organization, we have been quite active to use the knowledge. We are organizing a local fundraising campaign now to raise funds for a new sanitation block in a school.’
‘We have already raised 400.00 Ksh (€3.200) by online crowdfunding tools such as Mchanga and Global Giving. Now, we’re organizing a gala concert on March 20, World Water Day, to raise the other 400.000 Ksh.’
‘It is great that the funds will then be matched (doubled) by KCDF’s Pamoja for Change Programme. That means we have enough funds to start the project directly. We are also coached by KCDF to make sure the project is done in a sustainable and efficient way. I learned that Wilde Ganzen supports the Change the Game Academy and Pamoja for Change. Both programmes have helped us to do our work better!’.
