The primary objective of the training is to build the capacities of the grassroots organisations on advocacy and lobbying to make the regional authorities responsible for the services they provide to the general public. It aims to gather the support of the communities to work together to ensure that their rightful demands are met. Further, it takes a step forward to train communities to work as a collective to make the state accountable for the work they do.
This is a five-day residential training from July 15-19. The training will be conducted in Sinhala.
The full trajectory of the training will run into around a 6 months period, as there will be post-training activities after the 5-day training.
