In a world where opportunities are far from equal, where social classes and diverse talents shape destinies, not everyone starts the game on a level playing field. Global inequality is growing. Voices remain unheard, opportunities vanish, and dependency increases.
But some individuals stand up and take action to address these imbalances. They organise themselves with a mission to create a better future for their communities. Despite their enormous commitment they face challenges on a daily basis: from dependence on foreign funding which makes projects vulnerable, to navigating challenging in-country dynamics.
Change the Game Academy is dedicated to empower those changemakers who strive to move forward. Our focus is on equipping them with the knowledge to engage their communities on social issues, foster dialogue with governments, and diversify their funding base. At the heart of our philosophy lies a strong belief in community self-reliance.
The powerful Change the Game Academy Alliance consists of members in sixteen countries. Since 2015, Change the Game Academy has been providing online and offline training on local fundraising and mobilising support. Training, e-learning & coaching is delivered in different languages, tailored to specific societal contexts. Our participants don’t just gain knowledge and skills; they become members of a community, connecting with fellow changemakers.
The result? Over 4000 organisations worldwide completed classroom training and implemented Local fundraising and Mobilising support activities in their communities. Via our online modules more than 25.000 learners gained relevant knowledge and skills to improve their work. For a future where communities are able to mobilise and pool their own resources to drive the change they want.
