Summary
Shishu Sarothi has been established in 1987 and has since become a leading regional institution on disability matters. Services have expanded to reach thousands of children with different developmental disabilities across Assam, neighbouring states in NE India and even beyond. Ever since its humble beginnings, Shishu Sarothi has celebrated its foundation day. During the last two years this has been impossible due to the Corona pandemic. Imagine their joy when this year the celebration could be resumed. Two weeks of intensive preparation resulted in the celebration of the 36th Foundation Day on 1st May 2022. It was a day-long celebration where fete, cultural programmes, games, food, and concert were organised. The chosen theme for the day was 'Butterfly' - spreading its wings to finally fly after a gap of two years.

Review by Wilde Ganzen Foundation
This is a very good example of an annual event that offers activities to attract different target and age groups, thereby serving various purposes. A yearly event is not only a suitable occasion to raise awareness about one's work, but it is also great for attracting new donors and cementing relationships with existing donors.
