NGOs and other agencies may work in a variety of settings with great variations in understandings and arrangements for child protection. There are sometimes different understandings of what child abuse means. You need to give clear guidance to staff, partners and other organisations (including funding organisations) on how the child protection policy will be adapted and applied practically in these different circumstances.
