Know How

Social Media

Step 6: timing

Equally important to what you are going to post is when to post. Schedule content of your posts to the most effective reach and engage your audience, taking into account their schedules and interests. For example:

-Tuesday morning: post uplifting photos
-Thursday afternoons: short fun stories
-Sunday mornings: articles about relevant research/policy development

You need to keep social media posts consistent, while keeping in mind that you are not inadvertently spamming people. Making posts too frequent can cause negative feedback among your audience, which is hard to repair.

BACK UP PLAN
Here too HootSuite or similar applications can be helpful since it enables you to schedule posts in advance. This means regular posting continues even when the person responsible is sick, on holiday, or is no longer with the organisation.
